ROTTERDAM – The Transport & Logistics tradeshow, scheduled for 6 and 7 October 2020 in Rotterdam Ahoy, will be moved to Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 October 2022. Transport & Logistics is the only tradeshow in the Netherlands that is visited by both shippers and storage companies to optimize their logistics. In 2020, Transport & Logistics would have taken place for the first time on a new date, namely October. That scoop is now being moved to 2022.
“We made this decision with a heavy heart. International transport has suffered from the beginning of the outbreak of the coronavirus, but it is expected to recover again this autumn. We had a flying start with Transport & Logistics with already 50 exhibitors registered, but during the last few months the reservations of exhibitors, mainly active in multimodal transport, have stagnated. As a result, we cannot offer a fully-fledged tradeshow, ”says Bianca van Grinsven on behalf of the exhibition organization.
In 2021, on March 31 and April 1, Easyfairs will organize the Logistics & Automation tradeshow. This tradeshow takes place in the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and is fully focused on logistic solutions for warehousing activities and technologies for factory automation. Logistics & Automation is organized simultaneously with Empack, the tradeshow for packaging technology. This co-location allows people to come into direct contact with the entire chain for packaging, logistics and automation. Van Grinsven: “A large part of the exhibitors of Transport & Logistics will move their participation to this tradeshow during the spring of 2021.”
The shift from 2020 to 2022 has no consequences for the new date of Transport & Logistics. Van Grinsven: “The show remains in October, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 October. We aimed for this year, because market research has shown that this fits in better with the tender period by shippers for logistic service providers and multimodal transporters. It is now a major disappointment that we are forced to postpone the show, but count on the understanding of all involved. Let’s make it a fantastic edition together in 2022. ”
